20 players have backed Newcastle who are at home to Luton. Boss Eddie Howe missed Friday's pre-match briefing because of illness but Tindall expects him to be on the touchline on Saturday. Harvey Barnes, Callum Wilson and Joe Willock will be assessed as they near returns from lay-offs. Luton welcome back Teden Mengi and Jacob Brown from injury. Issa Kabore is also available following Burkina Faso's elimination from the Africa Cup of Nations. New signing Daiki Hashioka will travel to Tyneside but is unlikely to feature so soon after joining.


4 players have backed Chelsea who are at home to Wolves. Chelsea's Christopher Nkunku could start after playing 45 minutes in midweek but Levi Colwill is likely to remain out with a minor injury.Forward Nicolas Jackson is in the squad after arriving back from the Africa Cup of Nations. Wolves have no fresh injuries from their defeat at home to Manchester United on Thursday. Hwang Hee-chan remains away at the Asian Cup and Boubacar Traore is still with Mali at the Africa Cup of Nations. Midfielders Joao Gomes and Pablo Sarabia are pushing for a start after returning as substitutes in midweek.


4 players have backed Man United to beat West Ham. Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag says Lisandro Martinez was taken off against Wolves as a precaution and will be fit. Sofyan Amrabat is back from the Africa Cup of Nations and Victor Lindelof should be available, but Mason Mount is out and Aaron Wan-Bissaka is a doubt. West Ham remain without Lucas Paqueta and Michail Antonio due to injury. Defender Nayef Aguerd could feature following Morocco's exit from the Africa Cup of Nations.

However, Dango Ouattara should be available after returning from the Africa Cup of Nations. Nottingham Forest's new goalkeeper Matz Sels is waiting on a work permit so might have to wait for his debut. Moussa Niakhate is back from the Africa Cup of Nations and loanee Nuno Tavares is in contention after being ineligible to face parent club Arsenal. Cheikhou Kouyate has been allowed more time in Senegal due to family reasons.

12 players have backed Man City who are at home to Burnley. Manchester City's Erling Haaland could be involved for the first time since 6 December following a foot problem.

Ederson and John Stones are fit, Manuel Akanji may return and Kevin De Bruyne awaits his first league start since suffering a hamstring injury at Burnley on the opening weekend of the season. Burnley are expected to give a debut to striker David Datro Fofana, who has joined on loan from Chelsea.


9 players have backed Tottenham who are at home to Brentford. Ange Postecoglou is missing three important players again, as Spurs skipper Son Heung-min remains on Asian Cup duty with South Korea, while midfield duo Pape Sarr and Yves Bissouma are still away at the Africa Cup of Nations. Alejo Veliz (knee), Manor Solomon (knee) and Giovani Lo Celso (thigh) are sidelined too, but Tottenham fans welcomed the return of James Maddison as a substitute last week, after his absence with an ankle injury since November. Ben Davies was also back on the bench.

James Maddison and Alejo Veliz will not be available, while Cristian Romero has returned to training but the match is likely to come too soon.
