LMS Season 3 GW2 Preview

GW2 is about to start, and at the time of writing this is how it stands…

21 people have backed Arsenal who are at home to Palace. The Gunners have a solid home record W7, D3, L1. They will need to bounce back from the home defeat against West Ham and Palace are missing some key players Olise with a hamstring problem and Ayew away at the AFCON.

4 people have backed Burnley who are at home to Luton. The Clarets are unbeaten in their past seven league games against Luton, winning four and drawing three. Luton are undefeated in seven league games at Turf Moor since losing 2-1 in 1995 under David Pleat.

4 people have backed Chelsea who are at home to Fulham. The Blues have only conceded one goal in their past eight competitive games against Fulham at Stamford Bridge, keeping clean sheets in the last five. The Cottagers are looking to win three consecutive top-flight London derbies for the first time since 2013.

2 people have backed West Ham who are away to Sheffield United. The Hammers haven’t lost since December 10th and picked up some significant wins against Arsenal and Man United.

2 people have backed Brentford who are at home to Forest. Brentford haven’t picked up a win in the league since the 2nd of December! Forest have picked up wins in their last two against Man United and Newcastle.

1 person has backed Man United who are at home to Spurs. Lisandro Martinez is reportedly eyeing this game as his potential return from injury, albeit it seems unlikely he would start given how long he’s been out. Luke Shaw could return alongside Christian Eriksen, Harry Maguire, Antony and Anthony Martial. For Spurs, Timo Werner is in line to make his debut after a loan move from RB Leipzig. James Maddison and Alejo Veliz will not be available, while Cristian Romero has returned to training but the match is likely to come too soon.

1 person has backed Aston Villa who are away to Everton. Dominic Calvert-Lewin's three-match ban has been overturned and Ashley Young is back in training but Idrissa Gueye is at the Africa Cup of Nations. Aston Villa pair Pau Torres and Youri Tielemans are back in training and might return to action on Sunday.
