We are drawing close to the start of GW2 and at the time of writing this is how it stands..

21 players have backed Liverpool who are at home to Bournemouth. Liverpool have won five of their six home league games against Bournemouth (D1), including a 9-0 victory in this exact fixture last season. Bournemouth have never won away against Liverpool in any competition (D1 L8), with a 2-2 draw in April 2017 the only time they've avoided defeat at Anfield.

6 players have backed Nottingham Forest who are at home to Sheffield United. Nottingham Forest have lost just one of their past 13 home league games against Sheffield United, winning seven and drawing five. This is the first Premier League meeting between the sides since the Blades registered a 2-0 victory at the City Ground in May 1993, a result which confirmed Forest as the first side to be relegated from the competition.

3 players have backed Villa who are at home to Everton. Aston Villa are unbeaten in their eight Premier League meetings with Everton since their return to the division in 2019 (W6 D2), having lost five of their previous six against the Toffees before this. Everton lost 1-0 to Fulham in their first Premier League game of the season. The Toffees lost their first two games last season, last starting a league season with two defeats in back-to-back campaigns in 1955-56 and 1956-57.

1 player has backed Brighton who are away to Wolves. Wolves have lost their last three Premier League games against Brighton, having been unbeaten against the Seagulls in the previous six beforehand (W2 D4). Brighton have won their first away league game in each of the last four seasons. Only two teams have ever done so in 5+ consecutive Premier League campaigns – Chelsea (5) between 2001-02 and 2005-06, and Manchester City (7) between 2014-15 and 2020-21.

After a thrilling end to GW1 with Man United just able to squeeze past Wolves, leaving a number of LMS players on the edge of their seat... Especially after a very credible penalty shout in the dying minutes! We move onto GW2 which is now live!

Only two players exited from the competition after Everton or Spurs couldn't pick up wins.. Fulham were the only team to win that wasn't backed by any LMS players....

Here's the fixtures for GW2... All votes need to be in by 19:15 on Friday the 18th. Good Luck!
