GW2 is about to start shortly and at the time of writing this is how it stands….

10 people have backed West Ham who are away to Burnley. The Hammers have also lost seven of their previous 10 top-flight away games, including a current run of three successive defeats.

8 people have picked Arsenal who are away to Brentford. The last time The Gunners won twice away to a side from London in a season was in 1992-93, when they beat Crystal Palace 2-1 in the Premier League and 3-1 in the League Cup, with Ian Wright scoring in both fixtures.

5 people have backed Palace who are away to Luton. The Hatters are yet to keep a clean sheet in the Premier League!

4 people have backed Spurs who are home to Villa. Previously unbeaten Spurs have suffered back-to-back defeats against Chelsea and Wolves despite opening the scoring in both matches.

2 people have picked Man City who are at home to Liverpool. The Reds' most recent victory at the Etihad Stadium was 2-1 in a Champions League quarter-final second leg in April 2018, sending them through 5-1 on aggregate.

2 people have picked Man United who are away to Everton. The Toffees could become the first team to lose 40 Premier League games to a single opponent. They and Spurs have both suffered 39 defeats against Manchester United. 2 people are backing Everton for that not to happen!

1 person has selected Newcastle who are at home to Chelsea. Eddie Howe's side have lost four of their 12 top-flight fixtures this season - they only suffered five defeats in total in 2022-23.

1 person has backed Sheffield United who are home to Bournemouth. The Cherries have lost six and drawn three of their 10 games away to the Blades in all competitions.

1 person has selected Brighton who are away to Forest. The Seagulls are without a victory in eight top-flight meetings with Forest, drawing two and losing six.

10 players exited the competition after GW1 after Brighton and Man City could only draw and Fulham lost at Villa!

Here's the fixtures for GW2 probably the hardest gameweek I've seen based on current form, injuries etc since we started running the competition...

We have an international break this weekend so the cut off time for selections is 11:30 on Saturday the 25th! You might want to get something in early so you don't forget as if you don't make a selection you're out! You can always change your selection up until the cut off time. Good Luck!

GW1 is about to start shortly and at the time of writing this is how it stands….

19 people have backed Man United who are at home to Luton. United have suffered five defeats in 10 home fixtures this season, their worst start to a campaign at Old Trafford since 1930-31 when they also lost five of 10 and were relegated from the top flight. The Hatters are yet to keep a clean sheet in 11 Premier League matches, conceding 21 goals.

17 people have backed Arsenal who are at home to Burnley. The Gunners have dropped points in four of their five league games against the Clarets under Mikel Arteta. The Clarets have lost nine of their opening 11 league fixtures this season, equalling a club record set in the second tier in 1904.

8 people have backed Brighton who are at home to Sheffield United. Brighton have only won one of the 12 most recent league meetings, and none of the last six since they beat the Blades at Bramall Lane in the Championship in January 2005.

4 people have backed Aston Villa who are at home to Fulham. Aston Villa are on a run of four straight home wins against Fulham: two in the Premier League and two in the Championship. Fulham's only league victory in their past 19 visits to Villa Park came in April 2014 (D7, L11). They have lost on all four subsequent trips. It still hasn’t stopped one LMS’r backing them!

3 people have backed Liverpool who are at home to Brentford. Liverpool have won all five of their home league fixtures this season by an aggregate score of 14-2. The Bees haven't kept a clean sheet in 16 meetings with Liverpool in all competitions since a goalless top-flight draw in April 1936.

1 person has backed Man City who are away to Chelsea. Manchester City have won 1-0 in each of the past four Premier League meetings. The Blues are looking to avoid five consecutive league defeats against a specific opponent since a run of seven at the hands of Blackburn between 1993 and 1996.

1 person has backed Wolves who are at home to Tottenham. Spurs will be without the suspended Cristian Romero and Destiny Udogie, while fellow defender Micky van der Ven is out with a hamstring injury. Midfielder James Maddison could be out until the New Year with a serious ankle injury and Richarlison is recovering from minor groin surgery. Maybe this pick doesn’t look that mad after all!
